Training Run

With a little over a week to the California International Marathon Cooper is “tapering”. I was lucky to be his bicycle escort on this ten mile run. It was fun to ride along.

In addition to the high tides we had a big swell whipping up foam. Yesterday

Plein Again

All forty of the participants in the 2024 Capitola Plein Air Art Festival were painting
in the Village this morning.
I went down to check out the scene and snap a few photos.
The painters were friendly, enjoyed talking about their work and open to being
photographed. And, it was a beautiful morning, adding to the fun!

Land Art Redux

A month ago I posted a couple of iPhone photos of the Pyramids at the
base of the Santa Cruz Wharf. I ended up photographing the scene a
number times with multiple cameras. This one was made when the project was finished with a Hasselblad 501CM and Kodak Tri-X120mm film.
This one was made with a LOMO camera and 120mm Kodak Gold 200.
The work was still in progress here.
Finally we have a classic Holga photo made with Tri-X 120mm film

The Pyramids

The Pyramids are a part of the MAH’s Common Ground- place inspired outdoor
artworks. Here two workmen shovel sand creating a pyramid.
The artwork is the idea and design of Jim and Brighton Denevan. Currently on display
at Cowell Beach.
