South County

A low tide beach walk in South County is one of the area’s best kept secrets.

Guys

Guys doing what guys do on a Saturday morning.
Searching for gold.
Reflecting? Maybe? Or looking for his car keys!

North Coast

Went for a walk north of Año Nuevo yesterday morning.
There wasn’t anyone in sight.
The air, warm and fresh. The sand, clean and untracked.
Kelp was everywhere, twisted into elaborate forms.
I felt fortunate to out walking. No deadlines and nothing to
do but enjoy the scene.

The sunset yesterday was all time! Camera phones were working overtime!

Roadtrip

Just back from a 2445 mile road trip. Here’s a photo that caught
my eye. While waiting for the ferry to Whidbey Island we had
a few minutes to take in the sunset.

In Contrast

In contrast to Sunday’s post, here’s what the day after Labor Day looked like.
Watsonville brussel sprout fields decorated with sunflowers.
The light and fog at Sunset Beach this morning was special.
Foggy with a bit of sun poking through. Shore birds, fishermen, beachcombers and a few scattered surfers were my companions. It was classic Central Coast.

Holiday Weekend

A bright, warm, sunny Sunday and Labor Day weekend!
Folks were getting out early and claiming their beach space.
The perfect morning for beach umbrella photos!
Beach Umbrella #4. Fun to poke around with my iPhone
and make a few photos.
