Matt

Wednesday evening on the harbor jetty. Matt was climbing and jumping
all over the jetty. I was testing out my old Nikon F3. It was fun to
watch Matt and challenging to photograph.

Miramar RIP

The site of the Miramar seafood restaurant on the Santa Cruz Wharf.
I copied the bit of history below from the Santa Cruz Sentinel.
“The wharf and the fish grotto restaurant have a long history together. At least as early as 1926, the restaurant operated as Ernest’s Fish Grotto. The Miramar name — initially leased as the Mira Mar — dates back to an outdoor wharf cafe opened with that name beginning in 1929. The Marcenaro family, whose name remained attached to the business through its closure, took over the business in 1945 and significantly expanded the site in 1970.”
