#getoutside

Yesterday the 335 Covid Crew got outside.
We motored to Henry Coe State Park near Morgan Hill. Coe is the biggest state park in Northern California, but relatively unknown.
It’s a beautiful spot for a springtime outdoor adventure.
Trees and wildflowers were popping off. The trails were empty. A bit of light rain
added to the fun.
At the end of the day we all felt recharged and excited by our mini-adventure.

Spectacular view of downtown Seattle.
It’s a popular spot for photographs.

Mt Rainier

View of Mt Rainier from the Bainbridge Island Ferry. I’m just back from  a
week in Seattle. I was lucky to have no rain and dramatic scenes like this.
If the weather cooperates winter is a great time to travel. I also had a
great time with the family!

Soft Power

Sunday at San Francisco MOMA. “The exhibition SOFT POWER is about the ways in which artists deploy art to explore their roles as citizens and social actors. Appropriated from the Reagan-era term used to describe how a country’s “soft” assets such as culture, political values, and foreign policies can be more influential than coercive or violent expressions of power.” If you’re in San Francisco this exhibit is worth seeing.
