Seydisfjördur

Seydisfjördur is a picturesque little town in East Iceland. My favorite site was Olive's black boots on this colorful, brick walkway.

Höfn

Evening, low tide, fog hovering, we could hear waves breaking on the sand bars beyond the harbor. It felt so special, so different. Maybe because it was Iceland???

Glaciers Too!

Beautiful beaches, green farms and fields and glaciers too! We spent half a day hiking on Fallijökull Glacier. Fallijökull is small part of a huge glacial system in Vatnajökull National Park, Southeast Iceland.

Alfred, our guide was knowledgeable, low key and had a dry sense of humor. Here he is pointing out fun facts about glaciers!

Black Sand Beach

Cooper, Olive and Alice on the black sand beach at Vik.

Cooper, Olive and Alice on the black sand beach at Vik. The water temperature is like Santa Cruz in the winter.

Just around the corner from Vik is Reynishverfi Beach. "Dramatic landscape" is my go to phrase for Iceland.

Plenty of smooth, flat, round rocks for skipping!
