Olive in Lisboa!

Just outside Lisbon, sitting high above the town of Sintra, Palácio National da Pena was an unexpected travel treat.
It’s a crazy mixture of architecture, colors, towers, tile and tourists. A super fun place to visit. It’s well worth an afternoon if you’re ever in the area.
Some might label it kitsch! One of my favorite places of the trip!

Coimbra is a university town with a beautiful historic center.
University students selling pencils to fundraise for graduation expenses. The university is the most prestigious in Portugal.
Like I said, it’s a university town! The Universidade de Coimbra was the first in Portugal and one of the first in Europe.
Olive and Alice explore the narrow lanes of the old town.

Olive and Cooper walk along the Rio Douro in Porto, Portugal. Porto is one of the most picturesque cities I’ve ever visited. Everywhere you look there’s a view. This photo was made with a plastic camera on film!
