Sevilla’s Alcázar. Amazing inside and outside!
Sunday on the Rio Guadalquivir.
I just liked the colors and the tones in this one. Looks like a Vespa advertisement.
The view from the other side of the Rio Guadalquivir- looking across toward the city center.

Painting the Sevilla Cathedral.
The not so ancient ritual of iPhone worship.
Fashion forward at the fort. Sevilla’s Alcázar, an architectural wonder built in the 1300’s, serves as a backdrop for red shoes.
A reminder that we all see things differently.

Feria began as a cattle auction. Now it’s a combination of carnival and Kentucky Derby.
Eating, drinking, dancing and dressing up are all part of the festival.
It’s not ice cream.
The balloon man.
It was one crazy scene. There was so much going on I didn’t know where to point my camera.

Córdoba, outside the walls of the Mezquita.
The Mezquita, once a mosque, was built in 785 on the foundation of a Christian church. In 1236, after Córdoba was recaptured by Fredinand III, the Mosque was reconverted into a Christian church. The Mosque was modified but still contains many Moorish architectural features.
Sometimes it’s little scenes that catch my eye! In the courtyard of the Mezquinta.

Morning commute, Lisbon.
Fortaleza Wall. Fortaleza was where Henry the Navigator set up his school of navigation in the fifteenth century. Some of Portugal’s most famous explorers got their training here.

Coimbra is a university town with a beautiful historic center.
University students selling pencils to fundraise for graduation expenses. The university is the most prestigious in Portugal.
Like I said, it’s a university town! The Universidade de Coimbra was the first in Portugal and one of the first in Europe.
Olive and Alice explore the narrow lanes of the old town.
