This is a photo I made for "Photo a Day" way back in 2008. I recently made a nice print and applied some Marshall's photo coloring pencils and paint. The bits of color punch things up a little and draw attention to the chalk drawings on the asphalt.

Sometimes it's nice to get out of town and make photos in a fresh environment, Ocean Beach, San Francisco.

I was photographing on Mission Street in San Francisco the other day. This guy on a bike came peddling up the block, rapidly. I just had enough time to get my Holga up to my eye and "click". I wonder how he got that flag to fly that way? (Check it out bigger!)

I have a Holga photo in the RayKo 4th International Juried Plastic Camera Show! If you're in San Francisco check out the show.
RayKo is a cool place. They have a nice gallery, they do photographic education, run youth programs, have darkrooms and a digital lab, a studio and more! For all the facts: http://raykophoto.com

I was sitting at my desk Saturday, waiting for the rain to ease up so I could go out and make some photos. I've had this umbrella photo around in a couple of forms for more years than I care to say. Sometimes this happens. I'm undecided. Should I go further with this? Well, Saturday I was doodling and finally finished the photo (for now). And yes, the umbrella was pink!

"I'm Only Happy When It Rains" I think Garbage sang that song? After nearly six weeks of sunshine I was beginning to feel that way.

If you're not a football fan, Super Bowl Sunday is a great day for a beach walk.
