Carmel

Main Beach, Carmel a couple of days ago.
What a scene! Surfers, tourists, dogs running free.
The King Tide added to the look!

After the Storm

It was a rough morning in Santa Cruz County. Rain, wind and huge waves pounded the coast.

The worst was over by mid afternoon.
Here are a few post-storm scenes from Seabright Beach.
Rough conditions, debris in the lineup, surfing today seemed mad to me! But, surfers gotta surf!

Photo Walk

I did a photo walk this afternoon. Kind of a throw back activity.
So much fun and exercise too! Nick doing some watercolor painting on Pacific Ave.
Cool hot rod at the Cowell’s Surf Shop. A family heirloom, I learned.
Peace, Main Beach. A good thought for 2023!

Seattle Mood

This year we got a taste of real Seattle winter weather.
Snow, ice, wind and rain. Never wore my sunglasses. Never applied sunscreen.

Rattlesnake Lake

A drizzly afternoon at Rattlesnake Lake, WA.
It has an otherworldly, apocalyptical look when the water level is low.
