Zion National Park

Zion with snow. I felt lucky to be there in this kind of weather.
The snow definitely cut down on the crowds.
The inclement weather added to the overall beauty of the landscape!

Winter Scenes

These three photos were made with a panorama camera and Tri-X film.
Right after a storm moved through and the rain stopped.
Cold and wet, late in the day. Maybe the best time for photographing winter scenes.

Roadside Attractions

I love these signs posted along Highway 1 between Moss Landing and Castroville.
They seem to be from some simpler time.
The perfect strawberry!

Looked like snakes to me, San Lorenzo Rivermouth, Santa Cruz.
Looking in the opposite direction.

Pyramid Lake Overlook

The starkness of the winter landscape caught my eye.

Reno Road Trip

SR 447 Nevada, the scenic route to Pyramid Lake.
A great day trip from Reno.
Pyramid Lake is the biggest remnant of ancient Lake Lahontan, the enormous inland sea that once covered most of Nevada. The lake is part of the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe reservation.

Carmel

Main Beach, Carmel a couple of days ago.
What a scene! Surfers, tourists, dogs running free.
The King Tide added to the look!

King Tides 2

The walker.
Boardwalk view. You can get a sense of how low the tide is.
Couple and seagulls.
