A different take on volleyball nets (see previous post). This photo is from last week. I made it at the courts near the Crow’s Nest as a midday fog rolled in.

Lowtide

The scene this afternoon at the beach. So nice to have an afternoon of sunshine after so many days of rain.

Contemporary Landscape

Caught my eye! I liked the three orange posts, the wave breaking and the clean, blue horizon. Made in SoCal last week.

SoCal

I’m just back from a week in SoCal. It wasn’t really a photo oriented trip but I did manage to snap a few here and there. I like the hard morning light coming in between two concrete bridges and the stride and concentration of the runner.

Small palm at the water’s edge- South Orange County.

Winter Beach

The scene this afternoon at Main Beach. Great light, clouds, colors and driftwood. Classic post-rainstorm afternoon.

Lines

This scene caught my eye. The hazy light, vertical and horizontal lines and the lone figure relaxing against the rail make an interesting composition.

Landscape

The previous post was pretty much front light. Not the most interesting or aesthetically pleasing light. This post is backlit- as they say, compare and contrast!
