Fortaleza Wall. Fortaleza was where Henry the Navigator set up his school of navigation in the fifteenth century. Some of Portugal’s most famous explorers got their training here.

This sunset photo was made years ago on color slide film. I waited and waited and finally photographed from the railroad trestle above the mighty San Lorenzo River. I scanned the slide and did a minimal amount of adjusting in Photoshop. Basically what you see is how it looked. Sunsets are cliche for photographers. This one is a special cliche!
