When Alice and I go up to Washington Heights to visit Cooper, we ride the 1 Train. At 125th Street it comes out of the tunnel and travels above ground. There’s light and atmosphere. You can look around, see the sky and the neighborhood. It’s one of my favorite subway stops. I grabbed this photo quickly out of the open door.
