Melvin

Melvin! 73 years old, riding his bicycle with a cup of coffee in his hand
and a cigarette in his mouth. He had stories to tell and some wisdom to
impart. He said that if I didn’t take his photo he would be offended! I’m
happy I did. Thanks Melvin! The photo was made with a Lomo LC-A 120
and Kodak Gold 200.

Last Swim

This was taken in early Fall. The air was still warm but the water was starting to cool
off. It turned out to be our final win of 2024.

Plein Again

All forty of the participants in the 2024 Capitola Plein Air Art Festival were painting
in the Village this morning.
I went down to check out the scene and snap a few photos.
The painters were friendly, enjoyed talking about their work and open to being
photographed. And, it was a beautiful morning, adding to the fun!

Last Day of Summer

Marking the day with a portrait in the alley studio. It wasn’t the sunniest
summer ever but I’m sorry to say goodbye.

Joey

This is Joey a Jehovah’s Witness I met on Beach Street. He saw my
film camera and started a conversation. He told me he had a
background in digital photography and was just getting into using
film. I asked him if we could do a quick portrait with his classic
 Minolta SRT101. Thanks Joey!
