On the Governors Island Ferry, headed to the 10th Annual Jazz Age Lawn Party. It was quite a scene. Thousands of people dressed in jazz age fashion, eating, drinking, dancing and being seen on a hot August afternoon. Alice, we’re not in Santa Cruz!

Friendly and self-assured, Aziza spoke Arabic, French and Spanish. She and Olive got along famously moving back and forth from Spanish to French. Meeting her was one of the highlights of our time in Morocco.

Feria began as a cattle auction. Now it’s a combination of carnival and Kentucky Derby.
Eating, drinking, dancing and dressing up are all part of the festival.
It’s not ice cream.
The balloon man.
It was one crazy scene. There was so much going on I didn’t know where to point my camera.
We left at dark. But in true Spanish style, the party goes on through the night and well into the morning.

Photographing people can be difficult for me when I’m traveling. That said, I couldn’t resist asking this crew for a quick snap!
