Jazz Age Lawn Party

On the Governors Island Ferry.

On the Governors Island Ferry, headed to the 10th Annual Jazz Age Lawn Party. It was quite a scene. Thousands of people dressed in jazz age fashion, eating, drinking, dancing and being seen on a hot August afternoon. Alice, we’re not in Santa Cruz!

Aziza, Tangier, Morocco

Friendly and self-assured, Aziza spoke Arabic, French and Spanish. She and Olive got along famously moving back and forth from Spanish to French. Meeting her was a highlight of the trip.

Feria de Abril, Sevilla

Feria began as a cattle auction. Now it's a combination of carnival and Kentucky Derby.

The balloon man.

The balloon man.

It was one of the craziest and most fun scenes I saw in Spain.

It was one crazy scene. There was so much going on I didn’t know where to point my camera.

We left at dark. But in true Spanish style the part goes on through the night and into the morning.

Sevilla

Photographing people is sometimes difficult for me when I'm traveling. That said, I couldn't resist asking this crew for a quick snap!
