I’m just back from a two week trip to SoCal. It wasn’t a photo trip, so I took the opportunity to experiment with my iphone 5 camera and Instagram. This is outside the Pasadena Playhouse.

Locals and tourist alike flock to the Sunset Cliffs for, what else, the sunset. It’s a fun scene.

2013!!!
I was out with my camera this afternoon looking for a New Year's Day photo. I ran into Frank enjoying the warm afternoon sun and a cold beer at the Boardwalk. I made a still life photo of his feet, skateboard and helmet almost a year ago (see Feb. 16, 2012 blog post). He's a Santa Cruz County local and a long time hardcore skateboarder. Thanksgiving Interlude
The Thanksgiving beach walk is a family tradition.
We're so lucky to live in Santa Cruz.
I had the opportunity to meet Francisco and some of his friends.
I love seeing photographers shooting film and working with unusual cameras.
