Last week I posted a test photo from this photo shoot with my friend Bob. These photos are a couple that I like from that day.
There's a story behind the Elvis look and the Vespa (vintage 1967). Also, sometimes it's nice to go out with the camera, try a few things and have some fun. Thanks Bob!

Brook sells paintings on East Cliff Drive. Sometimes he's set up near Twin Lakes Beach and other times 38th Ave. He has the ideal surfer's life style. He lives in Bali much of the year where he surfs and paints surfscapes with perfect, cosmic looking waves, empty beaches and palm trees. In Santa Cruz he surfs and sells the paintings. Jason and I have been talking a lot about portraits lately. What are they? What's the purpose? What makes a good one? We decided to do a series of portraits with Jason as the subject. We made this one late Wednesday afternoon in interesting but difficult light.
