A couple of weeks ago there was a group doing tango on the harbor jetty. There was music and wine, the surf was up and people were out looking for a colorful sunset. The dancing made it a different sort of Sunday scene. Thanks to this couple for letting me snap freely.

I’m just back from a family vacation to Hanalei Bay on the island of Kauai. Hanalei has to be one of the nicer places on the planet. There’s a small town, a picturesque main beach, crystal clear, blue water, and it’s surrounded by dramatic looking, green mountains. Here’s a photo that caught my eye on a first quick edit. I’ll be posting more soon.

Photo shoot on Main Beach. I always get a kick out of watching other photographers at work. Note: the “assistant” is not getting the most out of the reflector. In fact, the direction it’s pointed and the distance she is away from the model make it pretty much useless!

Nice sound, old timey, Americana, roots, whatever you want to call it. If you happen upon Wilder Lee on Pacific Avenue, take some time, and listen.
Olivia Garriga on bass. They’re a great team!
