Charred Leaf

A charred Canyon Live Oak leaf from the CZU fire. I found
this and others like it scattered around our yard, a long
way from the fire.

Beach Walk

Summer is Santa Cruz County, chilly fog with a touch of wind. That’s beach weather.
On South County beaches, often your only company will be other walkers, the
odd surfer and people fishing.
There are always treasures to be discovered.
And the feeling of being out, moving, enjoying empty beaches.
