In the past couple of weeks I’ve stumbled on three flower memorials. There’s something about public remembrances that catches my eye and makes me reflect. Who? What? Why?

Under the wharf.
On the wharf. The tones and geometry are similar. I like the way the two go together.

Here’s another the flea market on the outside wall of Assistens Kirkegård. (See previous post.)

On weekends the outside wall of Assistens Kirkegård (Cemetery) in the Nørrebro neighborhood of Copenhagen becomes an impromptu flea market.
Inside many famous and not so famous Danes are buried. Hans Christian Anderson, Søren Kierkegaard and Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg and expatriate American jazz musicians Ben Webster and Kenny Drew are a few of the famous buried in Assistens Kirkegård.
It’s also a beautiful park. Locals come to read, picnic, play with their children and relax.
