Photographing people is sometimes difficult for me when I'm traveling. That said, I couldn't resist asking this crew for a quick snap!

Southern Spain

Outside the walls of the Mezquita.

Córdoba, outside the walls of the Mezquita.

The Mezquita, once was a mosque. It was built in 785 on the foundation of a Christian church. In 1236, after Córdoba was recaptured by Fredinand III, the Mosque was reconverted into a Christian church. The Mosque was modified but still contains many Moorish architectural features.

Sometimes it's little scenes that catch my eye! In the courtyard of the Mezquinta.

Palácio Nacional da Pena

Just outside Lisbon, Palácio National da Pena was an unexpected travel treat.

Just outside Lisbon, sitting high above the town of Sintra, Palácio National da Pena was an unexpected travel treat.

It's a crazy mixture of architecture, colors, tile and tourists. A super fun place to visit. It's well worth an afternoon if you're ever in the area.

The blue is mostly tile!

Some might label it kitsch! One of my favorite places of the trip!
