On the Wall

One of the things I like about big cities is the art on the walls. This mural was in
a pulque bar in Xochimilco.
Street scene in the Roma neighborhood.
Layers of posters, Condesa neighborhood.
Poster and sunflowers, Jamaica flower market.

Paseo de la Reforma

On Sundays Paseo de la Reforma, a wide avenue that runs across the heart of
Mexico City, is closed to traffic. People bike, run, skate, stroll and even dance
in the street. It’s a fun local scene!

Jamaica Flower Market

A few scenes from what some call the best flower market in CDMX.
There were so many great visuals. I could have spent hours there making photos.
Everywhere I looked there was a photograph.
Finished shopping!

CDMX

A week in Mexico City! This is El Mago, The Magican, in Mercado de Jamaica.
He’s handy with a knife, uses all of the pig, and his tacos are delicious!

Tower Bridge Trail

One of the standout hikes of the trip was the Tower Bridge Trail in Bryce Canyon
National Park. We hiked in snow and mud wearing Yaktrax traction cleats.
Hoodoos in the snow, very few people and fast changing weather all contributed to a fantastic day on the trail!
The Tower Bridge itself was a little anticlimatic. The journey was the prize.

Road Food

One of my favorite parts of a road trip is stopping for lunch at a
local diner/cafe. There’s road coffee, breakfast all day and friendly
staff. This is The Main Street Cafe in Hurricane, Utah.
After the lunch rush. Pretty classic decor.

Cold Country

Just outside Bryce Canyon National Park.
The highest elevation and the coldest weather of the roadtrip. It was exciting for us
coastal Californians to experience the snowy southwest! Beautiful too!
