Marche´ d´Antan

Marche´d´Antan is a big indoor flea market in Montreal.

A subway ride away from downtown and off most tourist maps is Marche´d´Antan.  A big, crazy indoor flea market.

We spent a morning browsing.

Madame Bijoux's was a real find. So much stuff, painstakingly arranged.

It was cool to be walking along and see these murals decorating the sides of buildings. This one was painted by Other from Toronto.

Welcome to Montreal

Sunrise at the Vieux Port. Across the way is Habitat 67 designed by architect Moshe Safdie. 158 interlocking concrete forms reflecting cities of the future when population would outgrow urban space.

Sunrise at the Vieux Port. Across the way is Habitat 67, designed by architect Moshe Safdie. Loosely based on the idea of a kibbutz,  the 158 interlocking concrete forms are supposed to reflect cities of the future, when population would outgrow urban space.

Montreal is a bike friendly city with over 600 kilometers of real bike paths. It's amazing how many people ride bikes.
