Brook
Brook sells paintings on East Cliff Drive. Sometimes he's set up near Twin Lakes Beach and other times 38th Ave. He has the ideal surfer's life style. He lives in Bali much of the year where he surfs and paints surfscapes with perfect, cosmic looking waves, empty beaches and palm trees. In Santa Cruz he surfs and sells the paintings. Amsterdam Bikes
Maybe you've seen the sign as you passed the windmill on East Cliff Drive? Amsterdam Bikes, free air and oil. The inside of the shop is a visual delight. Bikes, bike parts, cluttered workbench, posters on the walls. Tom does good work too.

If you're ever in Pasadena around lunch time stop in at the Pasadena Sandwich Company. My cousins Meghan, Kaytee, Nicole and Jon are carrying on their dad's tradition of great food and friendly, personal service.
Lunch time rush and Kaytee and Nicole are making BIG, tasty sandwiches. They never stopped moving the whole time we were there.
