To celebrate my 67th birthday, Alice and I took a nice hike north of Año Nuevo.
The Cascade Creek trail is a classic. Bluffs, beach, wildlife, wilflowers and multiple ecosystems.
These photos were all made close to mid-day. Not the best light but ….nice memories.

Photographers love to use the term “a happy accident” to describe a successful photograph that happened by chance. Above is an “unhappy accident”. I’m not 100% sure what happened . My guess would be it has something to do with heat. There’s the blotchy grey areas and the frame numbers showing in the photo. It’s a mystery. Too bad! This roll was from a classic day walking on South County beaches.

After surfing this morning I watched this guy entertaining himself with his frisbee.
It’s hard to tell from the still photos but he was really good and going at a furious pace.
His pandemic workout!
