ATX Random

I’m just back from a family holiday in Austin, Texas. This is “Forever Bicycles” a sculpture created by Ai WeiWei. It’s on display near the Ann and Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trail.
Another Austin favorite is Barton Springs Pool. It’s a natural limestone pool fed by water from natural springs.
Austin has some nice street art! The Virgen de Guadalupe in East Austin.

New Sunday Walk

Alice and I took a new Wilder Ranch walk this morning.

We walked in fog and sunshine, redwood forest and chaparral. We saw deer, red-tailed hawks and turkeys.

A dark tunnel under Highway 1 was our portal in and out. Fun!

Garlic

Freshly harvested garden garlic. I made this photo in late Spring with a Holga 120N and black and white film. I liked the texture of the roots and the overall contrast in the scene.

Piñata

These two photos are from the annual 4th of July get together at the Farm in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

For the younger set the piñata is one of the highlights of the day. I like the expressions, body positions, levels of engagement, etc.
