Archipelago Island

It’s a short tram ride from Gothenburg to the town of Saltholmen. There we hopped on a ferry to Brännö Island. “Another time another place” as Van Morrison would say.

The archipelago islands feel completely different than the mainland. Bicycles and flatbed mopeds are the means of transportation.

At the far end of the island, a 45 minute walk, it’s quiet. The only sounds are wind and water.

It was a great day trip. One of the highlights of “Scandi Spring”.

Happy #90

Dad is celebrating his 90th birthday today! We have festivities planned for the weekend. In the meantime, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD! I know you’re excited to be 90! I made this photo in 1979 in Santa Cruz. It’s one of my earliest black and white photos.
