I can’t remember seeing a vendor with a cart on Main Beach. I bought a delicious mango. He cut it up, sprinkled salt and chile on it and put it in a plastic bag!He allowed me to make a quick portrait and then turned to help his next customer.
The warm tones are gone. It’s cool blues and grays. The calm, glassy sea has been replaced by a rough, lumpy ocean and waves cracking on the sand. The beach is empty except for a few people fishing, a jogger or two and the odd beachcomber.
It was late in the day and quiet on the beach. This scene caught my eye. I asked if I could make a photo. She said yes and pointed her phone in my direction. I like to think we simultaneously clicked our shutters.
