More Portland

This is Dee, short for Delores. I met her Sunday afternoon in downtown Portland. She was smoking and waiting for her laundry and agreed to let me photograph her.

The window seat, baseball cap and black and white vest with the plaid pants caught my eye. She reminded me a little of my Grandma Gracie.

Clay

I took this photo of Clay last Sunday on Pacific Avenue. I walked by and he had a great look on his face. Went back and asked him if it was OK to make some photos. He agreed and this is the result. Thanks Clay!

Janet

After the first roll of film I said, "Janet those were pretty serious". "I don't like to smile for photos" was her response.

Nick and Deneah 2

You may remember Nick and Deneah from my January 4th post. I met them on Pacific Ave. and made a few quick portraits. They have a great look going, a style all their own and they're very easy to work with. I recently photographed them again for my "Santa Cruz: People and Place" project. Thanks!

Selby

I was nearing the end of an afternoon photo walk when I saw Selby. It was a slow moment at Jiffy Lube and he was hanging around out front with some of the other guys. I asked him if I could take a few photos and he agreed. Thanks Selby.
