Brook
Brook sells paintings on East Cliff Drive. Sometimes he's set up near Twin Lakes Beach and other times 38th Ave. He has the ideal surfer's life style. He lives in Bali much of the year where he surfs and paints surfscapes with perfect, cosmic looking waves, empty beaches and palm trees. In Santa Cruz he surfs and sells the paintings. You don't see many gringos in Constanza so the local kids were curious about us. They practiced their English on us and we worked on our Spanish.

Motoconcho
Small-engine motorcycles are the most common way to travel in the Dominican Republic. It's not unusual to see three and sometimes four people riding on one. I took this family portrait in Constanza, a farming town in the mountains north of Santo Domingo.
