Focus

I really enjoy photographing the start of local triathlons. There’s a lot of energy and emotion flying around. Plus, nobody says “no” to being photographed at these events. These two photos were taken at the Santa Cruz Triathlon last September. It was a dark, grey morning. Looking for something different, I was using way out of date Delta 3200 ASA film and a heavily duct taped Holga.

Portland, OR

The past few days I've been up in Portland visiting Olive. We like the photo booth at the hipster hangout, Ace Hotel.

Students
Just before I left my Senior Producer Director job at the University of California Santa Cruz, I made some portraits of a few of the students that I had worked with. I ran out of time and didn’t get enough images to call it a finished project. Here are a few that turned out well.

The Jiffy Lube Crew

I'm currently working on a portrait series. During their break I photographed some of the folks that work at the local Jiffy Lube. From left: Memo, Dan, Matt, Alofa and Gaby. Front row: Vinny.
